Olivia Mathijsen is a seasoned, international leadership coach and HR consultant who has consolidated her training and expertise to focus full-time on the area of her profession that gave her the greatest sense of purpose: supporting business leaders to develop their own potential to catalyze optimal, sustainable performance – for themselves, their teams, and their companies.
As a senior HR director for fifteen years at the global business consultancy AlixPartners, she was instrumental in taking the Europe and Middle East unit from an entrepreneurial organization of 33 members to its current corporate structure of 700+. She was a core member of a team that built and implemented the company’s multinational “One-Firm” approach to establish a common mindset and human development infrastructure for more than 2000 employees worldwide. The program delivered new, global performance consistent with the company’s philosophy, competencies, and processes. Prior to AlixPartners, Olivia worked for ten years at A.T. Kearney as strategy consultant and then as a co-founder and director of their executive search team. Olivia began her career as a credit analyst.
Olivia holds a Master in Consulting and Coaching for Change from INSEAD (France), a Master in International Management from SDA Bocconi (Italy), and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Bryn Mawr College (U.S.). She is a member of the International Coaching Federation, the Professional Women’s Network, and Innovits (a startup accelerator).
Balancing personal and professional priorities is a familiar topic and a daily responsibility as, not least, Olivia is married and has three sons.
